Overview
About Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave therapy uses focused acoustic (sound) waves delivered through the skin to the affected area. It's typically considered for tendon and soft tissue conditions that have persisted despite rest and other conservative care.
The treatment is delivered using a handheld device over several sessions. Many patients feel a tapping or pulsing sensation, and mild soreness afterward is common.
